Lucideus, a young cyber-security company today announced its incubation from IIT-Mumbai. With cyber-security gaining prominence and the increase in cyber-attacks in the country, the company believes it has the expertise to offer services to secure the entire technology stack of both private companies and the Government of India.
Sharing some recent figures, Saket said, "In 2014, companies reported 42.8 million detected attacks worldwide, a 48% Y/Y increase and this number is only going to rise.”
Many start-ups have been incubated already from SINE (Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), IIT-Mumbai and the institute is slowly building more prowess to be able to cater to larger set of entrepreneurs and build a strong start-up ecosystem in the country. SINE, Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, hosted by Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai is an umbrella for promotion of entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay. SINE administers a business incubator that provides support for technology – based entrepreneurship.
